I have decided to try out a Goodreads Giveaway. This is my first attempt at doing any type of promo/free book giveaway through a third party website, and I have no idea what I'm actually doing. HA! Again, as an Indie writer - it's constantly a learning curve.
But it's exciting. I forgot that I had started this Goodreads giveaway process last week, and I went back to my Goodreads profile today and saw that I had over 1000 people entered into the giveaway already - so that's fun. I guess it's happening! The giveaway officially ends on February 15th. Please share with friends or enter to win!
My friend, Kezia, is also offering a giveaway on her Instagram page sometime in the near future. She has lots of followers - so stay tuned for that one. She's such a wonderful supporter and so thoughtful to do this for me. Her instagram handle is: @motherhoodmeetssobriety.
I like to see that my book is doing its thing and people are just finding it on its own. Yet at the same time, I know part of my responsibility as an author is to continue to promote this book past the first few months of launch. Who would I be if I just sat back and didn't try to get it into the appropriate hands of the people who truly need to read it? That's what it's all about - putting myself out there on Instagram and social media and continuing to promote. Part of my job is making sure people know my book is available to them and that my story exists for the foreseeable future.
Next up, tackling TikTok... I'm going to have Brayden show me the ropes and teach me how to self-promote on that platform sometime soon. I shall learn all about Booktok :) ... get ready!
And in the meantime, you may help me by promoting my book on your own social channels if you want! Or you can share it with your friends by word of mouth. Or you can simply leave a review on Amazon/Goodreads for me, please! Any little bit helps spreads awareness that the book exists and helps shift the algorithms even the slightest.
